Pension: 

SAST offers an exceptionally generous pension scheme for our Support Staff through the LGPS with employer contributions up to 23.6%, making this one of the best pension contributions nationally. The scheme also offers access to life cover and death in service benefits.

For Teaching Staff, we also offer a generous pension scheme through Teachers’ Pensions with employer contributions up to 23.68%.

Sick Pay:

Annual Leave:

Annual leave entitlement is based on grade and length of continuous local government service (which can be brought with you from any other public service post):


For those employees on a term time only contract, salary will include payment for annual leave which will be taken during school closure periods.
