At the heart of SAST is the mission to deliver continuous improvement across our family of schools. SAST has high performing schools, as well as schools we have sponsored, which we are committed to developing and improving.
There are three differing levels of support and challenge; enabling every school to continuously move forward in its journey of school improvement.
All of our schools receive Tier 1 support. This includes a SEND/Inclusion review and action plan focusing on quality first teaching through the lens of SEN; a safeguarding review and action plan,; curriculum support; senior and middle leadership professional learning networks, and continuous first line support from the SAST central services teams.
This tier addresses school-specific improvement strategies and key areas of development through the ‘giver and receiver’ approach that underpins the peer-to-peer and school-to-school support philosophy.
The third level is aimed at those schools who are not yet judged to be providing a good and improving quality of education. The support and challenge within the targeted tier is in addition to the core and development levels.
