Head of Boarding, Shaftesbury School

The Headteacher and Governors wish to appoint an outstanding person to the post of Head of Boarding at Barton Hill House, part of Shaftesbury School.

We are looking for an exceptional person to take over the headship of the international boarding house facilities of Shaftesbury School. We are seeking an individual with a passion for boarding, education and young people to take the boarding facilities of the school to the next level and beyond. Reporting to the Headteacher and serving on the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Boarding will provide the broad strategic leadership of the school’s boarding program.

Peripatetic Piano Teacher, Shaftesbury School

Approx £30 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic piano teacher with exceptional keyboard skills from September 2020 to provide individual tuition to pupils aged 11-18 years for approximately 6 hours per week. Extra payment is also available for accompanying to ensemble, choir and concerts.

The school’s Music Department benefits from good resources and facilities, which include individual teaching and practice rooms and a music technology suite.

Our Peripatetic Musicians work on a self-employed basis and collect payment directly from parents.

Salary: Grade 1 £7,233
Contract: Permanent, 15 hours per week

The first post is for 15 hours per week, from 5.00am to 8.00am, Monday to Friday. This is a permanent post with a salary of £7,233.

Post 2

Salary: Grade 1 £7,783
Contract: Permanent, 17.5 hours per week Term time plus training days and 3 weeks in the holidays

The second post is for 17.5 hours per week, from 4.00 pm to 7.30 pm, Monday to Friday, during term time, plus training days and 3 weeks in the holidays. This is a permanent post with a salary of £7,783.

No previous experience necessary as training is available for the right candidates. We provide an occupational pension, excellent facilities and a uniform.
