SAST Schools shine as government publishes 16-18 results

The government this week published online the KS5 data for last academic year. The Gryphon School was named the third highest performing school within the Dorset LA for A level results, with an average grade score of 38.2. They came third behind Sherborne Girls, and Sherborne School, both of which are private schools, meaning they were the best performing state school in our area. A huge congratulations to Jim Gower and all the staff at The Gryphon on this phenomenal achievement.

Also to be congratulated are Sturminster Newton High School, who received the best BTEC results within SAST, and pulling ahead of other Dorset schools. They had a positive value added score of 0.11, and an average grade of Distinction -, with disadvantaged students making their expected progress. Well done to Donna London-Hill, Mike Motteram and all the staff at SNHS.
