A big thank you to Sherborne businesses
Last week Sherborne Primary brought together the individuals and businesses that contributed to the Christmas hampers that were provided to all families in need of a helping hand.
Headteacher Ian Bartle said “Sherborne Primary School have once again been so proud to be situated within our amazing town, The businesses and kind individuals of Sherborne have come together to support their own community, by kindly donating funds to help with energy bills this Christmas and new year. Not only did the generous donations support the payment of either a gas or electricity bill, but the school was also able to give their families in need a food box, Christmas presents and books to provide a welcome respite to the hardships many are facing and to show that we care for all our community, at this challenging time for many. Even though the businesses themselves have been through such a roller coaster journey during this pandemic, their kind heartedness makes them a role model to our community and to the families and their children at our school.
The following businesses all supported this amazing project to help others: Hunts Frozen Foods, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Church House Investments, Mogers Drewett, Atkins, Ferrie Wealth Management, Battens Solicitors, Rolfe East Estate Agents, Sherborne School for Girls, Prestige Property Group, Ecco Gelato & Austyns – all within Sherborne. The school cannot thank these businesses / individuals enough and hope the local community continues to support our local businesses now and in the future. The school especially wishes to thank David Birley (former Mayor) who has been so pro-active in coordinating this worthwhile project. David works tirelessly for the town and is a great friend of the school”.
