Admissions Consultation

Consultation on the SAST Admissions Policy 2022/23

7th December 2020 to 15th January 2021

Dear Parents, Carers and Stakeholders,

Sherborne Area Schools’ Trust is the admissions authority for all schools within the Trust. Under section 1.42 of the Schools Admission Code 2014, SAST schools are obliged to consult with parents, carers and other stakeholders about the content of its Admissions Policy, irrespective of the policy being changed, at least every seven years. This consultation must be for a minimum period of 6 weeks and should take place between 1 October and 31 January.

There have been no substantial changes to the Admissions Policy since the last consultation in December 2019 in terms of criteria for entry. However, we have added to the list of SAST schools and their feeder schools as we have had new schools join in 2020.

With regard to the changes described above, you are respectfully invited to review this updated 2022/23 policy and provide any comments directly to the Trust by email or by post to the following address by 15th January 2020:
