World Book Day!

Happy World Book Day! As ever our students and staff have had lots of fun dressing up as their favourite book characters!

Shillingstone CE Primary

We had some fantastic costumes! During the day the children read a range of picture books and then went on to design and make some of their own. Each class transformed their classroom door into the front page of a story book, and everyone had a fun day celebrating books and stories!

The Gryphon School

Departments teamed up to enthusiastically dress up as characters from their favourite books!

English as ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’

Science as ‘Alice in Wonderland’

Geography and ‘The Beano’

Mrs McGreal’s class as ‘The Wizard of Oz’

St Mary’s CE Primary School, Bradford Abbas

As well as dressing up, children were invited to make a ‘Book in a Box’ and an exhibition of their creations is on display for parents after school.

Sherborne Primary School

Teachers and staff all dressed as Wally from ‘Where’s Wally’ and put together a fun quiz for the children to find where they were hiding around school!

And of course the students joined in the fun as well!

Thornford CE Primary School

At Thornford Primary one student dressed up as ‘Fing’ from the David Walliams book of the same name – and David Walliams himself commented on it!

St Mary the Virgin CE Primary School

At SMTV the children created some amazing story characters at home with their parents using potatoes!
